Lucas and I recorded these tracks over several days the weekend of April 9, 2021 at their bus camp site north of Lancaster, CA, where they spent several months of that spring in quarantine. Several visits to their Mojave outpost manifested several weeks of recording sessions but these tracks from April represent some of the most uploadable. For every Mojave pandemic recording project, our equipment ran entirely off of solar power collected by Lucas’s panels and channeled through their bus generator.
5G Burger features many a vibe with a few ridiculous spoken word tracks. These recordings to me capture the growth of skills on our instruments that will last into future projects. Lucas’s power on the Digitakt in particular fueled the drive of this album. They contributed more magic in their post production of this project, about which they definitely have more to say.
