Lucas and I recorded this album in one session on May 19, 2022, the day after we had played at M-Theory Records with Julia in San Diego. That trio performance was a handful of 15 minute sets which we can find time to release someday.
But anyway, the day after, the 19th, Lucas and I recorded at their house with our pretty typical stuff and a radio and we came up with this. Using the radio is always crazy, especially with talk radio or commercials, because the cross sections we end up getting throw the /vibe/ of the tunes (for lack of a better word) in all kinds of directions with unpredictable pace. This album also features a lot of blips of Kevin Shields’s remix of Bow Wow Wow’s “Fools Rush In” throughout. I sliced up this “jam” considerably but included a lot of natural transitions; even through its abrupt changes I think this album flows really well. Really proud of us!
